I referred a friend/s to this project, how do I let you know?

Both you and the referees will score free items. There will be a section in the BackerKit survey at the end of the project where you can let me know who you referred/who referred you. The more people you send to the project, the more free items you get! If the person you refer pulls out of the project or their payment is declined, then you won’t receive an additional free items - so stay in touch with each other.

What currency is funding and goals in?

Funding and goals is in Australian Dollars (AUD). At time of launch one Australian dollar is equal to: NZ - $1.09 USD - $0.67 CAD - $0.91 Euro - €0.61 GPB - £0.51 Yen - ¥94.59

What is the pin design like?

💜REGULAR pins are sized 35mm 💜SPECIAL large pins are sized at 45mm 💜MINI pins available which are sized at 20mm 💜All pins are gold plated 💜All pins contain glitter to make them extra special and stand out 💜All come with at least one rubber backer (larger pins have two back posts) 💜Pins will have screen-printing to show highlights and shadows of designs

What are the freebies?

Pledge in first 48 hours: Score a bonus holographic sticker & Mystery Pin (3 styles)! Returning backers: If you backed a previous project, you score a free loyalty pin! Refer a friend: Score bonus rewards for the amount of referrals, including stickers, keychains, lanyards and more! Unlock all pins: If we unlock all pins ALL backers will receive a free thank you pin! (Design to be revealed closer to unlocking pins) Pledge for 15+ pins: Any pledge that involves 15 or more pins will score the below freebie pin!

If the whole project is successful, then there might be more freebies added for different levels of backers!

How do I tell you what pins I want?

As pins are unlocked they will be displayed in the available section. If the project does not reach the amount of pins you’re pledging for, then you can add my previous designs to your selection. You choose which pins you want AFTER the project has ended in your Backer Survey.

How does the project work?

All goal and stretch goal amounts are in AUD.

 1. Select your amount of pins. If you pledge within the FIRST 48 hours, you will receive exclusive BackerKit bonuses. 
2. Select any of the add-ons.
3. You can add or subtract add-ons throughout the BackerKit Campaign. 
4. When the project ends and your payment is processed, you'll need to complete a survey to let me know your postal information and which pins you want.

NOTE: For the first 48 HOURS of the campaign there is a bonus for people that pledge. Please note that if you pledge during this time, then remove your pledge, you will not be able to re-pledge and access the FREEBIE after the 48 HOURS

Is shipping available worldwide?

SHIPPING WILL NOT BE CHARGED AS PART OF YOUR PLEDGE.

When you fill out your BackerKit survey at the end of the project, that is when the system will recognise if you are Domestic or International. Please ensure that you mentally add the following sums to your pledge so that you are not surprised.

SHIPPING: Will be a flat rate of $10 AUD for Australians (Domestic) and $18 AUD (Internationals), this will not be charged until when the project completes and you are doing your survey. $10 AUD is roughly equal to $6.50 USD / £5.20 - Any customs fees are the responsibility of the backer.

When will my items be posted to me?

Your items will be posted when your latest product arrives. All items will be held until that time, so that they can be packaged together. For example, if you pledged for one item that says July, but you also pledged for pins, the your earlier items will be held until everything comes in stock.

Is postage tracked or untracked?

All parcels will be sent TRACKED with Auspost, Domestic (Australia) and International. If you are International, please make sure that you include a valid phone number and email in your survey to ensure that your parcel makes it through customs. Are all countries included?

At the moment there are some restrictions. Germany has changed the types of parcels they take (ecofriendly - I am registered for this, but please let me know so that I can put yours in different packaging), so please contact me before pledging to see if it is possible to send. There is also difficultly with sending to Russia, Ukraine and a few other places. Other than that, if you are not sure, send me a comment/message and I can look up if Auspost makes it to your country.

What happens after the project?

If the project is successful, BackerKit will start to process your pledge money over the week after the project closes. Please make sure you have the correct card/PayPal information and money in your account. If purchases bounce, BackerKit (through Stripe) will attempt twice more to withdraw the money before cancelling your pledge.

After the project, backers will be sent a survey. You have a MAXIMUM 2 calendar weeks to fill out the survey and get it back to me. This ensures that I get the right amount of pins and other items. If you have not filled out the survey in this time, you’ll be contacted within the week after and if there is still no response, then your pledge will be used as a donation to the project.

My package hasn't arrived yet, but I know it has been sent. What do I do?

All postage is tracked, so please use your tracking to see where your parcel is. If it seems like an abnormal amount of time has passed since you were sent tracking, get in contact with me via email/message. We can investigate this together!

My parcel got lost because I gave the wrong information or it was stolen. What do I do?

Unfortunately, if you have provided me with details that are incorrect or asked for it to be shipped to an un-secure location, then that is at your own risk. These parcels are not replaced, so please ensure you have provided me with correct information when filling out your survey.

My parcel is lost in transit. What do I do?

If it is a tracked parcel and is lost we will need to complete a form with the carrier and I’ll be reimbursed for the package. I will then send you out the new package. I will be getting a few extra pins in case of this, however, it cannot be guaranteed that I will have the exact pins you are after, so if this happens, please accept my apology as it is out of my hands.

Will items be available after the project?

There may be some pins available after the project on my web store: http://www.handmadebytenille.com.au/

However, both the pins and the postage will be more expensive to cover the platform fees, so it is cheaper to get it through the BackerKit Project. Additional items like the add-ons which may include totes, t-shirts and other various items WILL NOT be available after. They are exclusive for this Project!

The pin I wanted hasn't been unlocked. What do I do?

Pledge! If you pledge and spread the word the chances are that we will unlock that pin. So get your family and friends involved. Example, if you do pledge for 8 pins, and we only unlock 6 - you will be able to choose pins from my previous projects.

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.

Terms and Conditions

All BackerKit sales and funding are final. Please ensure you have read the FAQ to understand all information.

With item production, there may be some variation with colouring on items due to the difference in colours on screens and on printed items.

Shipping:
All items are shipped in one parcel (unless you are contacted individually) to the address you supply. Tenille is not responsible for your items being sent to a wrong address if it was supplied incorrectly. All shipping is with Australia Post (both domestic and international). Tracking is provided to all backers. If a parcel is lost in transit by the postal service, it will be replaced, however the exact items cannot be guaranteed (Tenille will do her best to get items that match your selections). Please insure that you are home when the delivery is 'OUT FOR DELIVERY' (Australia Post will send you updates if you opt in) or you have a secure location for it - STOLEN packages will not be replaced.
